The Studio

BREAKFAST is a world-renowned art studio with a reputation for conceiving and producing some of the most high-tech, connected artworks in the world. BREAKFAST’s pieces can be found in various museums, lobbies, stadiums, private collections, and public spaces all around the globe.

Our 50+ works have all been created by a group of 10 or less full-time employees. In this role you will be working closely within a cross functional team or designers and engineers to develop some of the largest mechatronic art installations in the world.

The Role

BREAKFAST is seeking a skilled software engineer who will help the studio in creating our next-generation pieces, pushing our systems to be more advanced and groundbreaking than ever before. It is a truly unique and one-of-a-kind role.

You will be working closely with our Senior Software Engineer on a cross-discipline team including software, mechanical, and electrical engineers. You'll work closely with the whole team to develop the software that controls thousands of motors and mechanical parts and turns them into magnificent sculptures to be seen and experienced by millions. This is an onsite, full time role in Brooklyn, NY. We are currently building out a 9000 square foot space in the Navy Yard that we're moving to in the new year. Fit for development of some artwork of truly epic proportions!
