This Flip-Discs artwork visualizes the real-time activity in the sky over specific cities around the world — from the density and speed of the cloud cover to the quantity and angle of the rainfall.
As one walks up to the piece, their image is reflected back. The contrast of their image changes based on the current levels of cloud cover or rainfall.
Note: With each edition, the collector gets to have some input on which tide the piece will represent, as well as how often the piece animates. If constant noise is of concern, it's common for collectors to have the piece move every 15 or 30 minutes and "sleep" at night.
